As a result of the completion of the arrangement between Southwestern Resources Corp. ("Southwestern" or the "Company") and Hochschild Mining plc ("Hochschild") pursuant to which an indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of Hochschild acquired all of the common shares of the Company at a price of C$0.50 per common share, Southwestern has been delisted from the Toronto Stock Exchange, and has applied to the relevant authorities in Ontario, British Columbia, Manitoba and Alberta to cease to be a reporting issuer.

Southwestern's website will no longer be updated, and will be discontinued as of June 30, 2009.
