Position: Chair & Director
W. David Black (Chair of the Board of Directors) was called to the British Columbia bar in 1967, practiced as an attorney specializing in corporate and securities law until December 2003 and is now retired. Mr. Black has served on the boards of numerous public and private companies in the natural resource sector.

Position: Interim President & CEO; Vice President, Corporate Development; Director
Timo Jauristo (Interim President & CEO, Vice President, Corporate Development and Director of the Company) is a Professional Geologist with over 26 years experience in the mining industry. Mr. Jauristo joined Southwestern in July 2005 as Vice President, Corporate Development and became the Interim President & CEO in July 2007. Mr. Jauristo is also President, CEO and Director of Zincore Metals Inc. of which Southwestern has a 49% interest. Mr. Jauristo was with the Placer Group of companies for 15 years before joining Southwestern, and at the time he left Placer he was the General Manager -- Corporate Development. Mr. Jauristo has extensive experience evaluating and developing mineral properties in Australia, Asia, Europe and Africa.

| |  | Dr. Alex Losada-Calderon Position: Vice President, Exploration
Alex Losada-Calderon has more than 20 years experience as an exploration geologist and project manager working on major mining projects throughout Australia, China and the Americas. Prior to joining Southwestern in 2007 he worked for Ausenco Ltd., specialist consultants in the provision of engineering, procurement and construction management services to the mining and mineral processing industry. Prior to that he was Project Manager for the Las Camariocas nickel plant development project in Cuba, a consulting geologist for many international mining houses for a period of four years and Country Manager for MIM in Australia and Latin American countries. Dr. Losada-Calderon obtained his BSc. Geology (Honours) from the Universidad Nacional del Sur in Argentina in 1984, and his PhD in Sciences from Monash University in Australia in 1992. He is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers, Scientists and Managers of Australia and a Member of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy.

| |  | Thomas W. Beattie, LLB, BComm Position: Vice President, Corporate Affairs & Corporate Secretary
Thomas W. Beattie has over 30 years of business experience, principally as in-house counsel and in management positions with international mining and exploration companies. He joined Southwestern Resources Corp. in 1996 and is currently its Vice President, Corporate Affairs. From 1987 to 1996 Mr. Beattie was Executive Vice President and CFO of Orvana Minerals Corp. He previously was solicitor for Placer Dome Inc. for over six years. He has also been an officer and/or director of several other public companies. Mr. Beattie obtained a law degree and a B.Comm. from the University of British Columbia.

| |  | Giovanni N. Susin, CA Position: Vice President, Finance & CFO
Giovanni Susin is responsible for all areas of financial reporting and related aspects of regulatory compliance as well as overseeing the accounting and reporting functions of Southwestern's foreign subsidiaries. Mr. Susin has been a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of British Columbia since 1994, during which time he has accumulated experience in the financial reporting and management functions of publicly traded companies. He joined Southwestern in 2000 as Controller and was appointed Vice President, Finance and CFO in May 2007.

| |  | Stan Myers Position: Director of Exploration, Latin America
Stan Myers joined Southwestern's management team in February 2007, and oversees all exploration activities in Latin America. Mr. Myers has more than 20 years experience in exploration and has been based in Peru since 1994. Prior to joining Southwestern, Mr. Myers spent 17 years with Newmont Mining Corporation, where he held positions including Project Manager of the Nassau Project in Suriname, Regional Geologist - Andes and Yanacocha Exploration Manager. Mr. Myers obtained his B.Sc. Geology in 1987 and his M.Sc. Geology in 1992, both from the University of Idaho.

| |  | Tan Shundao Position: General Manager - China
Tan Shundao has worked in base- and precious-metal deposit exploration, target evaluation, and metallogenetic studies for more than 30 years. Prior to joining Southwestern in 1998, he was a senior geologist with the Ministry of Metallurgical Industry of China and the China National Nonferrous Metals Corporation (CNNC). While managing the CNNC National Silver Exploration Fund, Mr. Shundao was responsible for the success of more than 20 silver deposit projects, which had a direct impact on the shortage of silver resources in China.
Mr. Shundao has published over 20 scientific papers on geology and mineral deposits. He has also translated and published books on mineral deposits in English and Russian. He graduated with a degree in geology from the Beijing University of China, and is a member of the US Society of Economic Geologists.

James B. Hume is a Chartered Accountant and has worked as Chief Executive Officer of various companies involved in financial investment and management for the past 20 years. He is President and CEO of the Kahanoff Group of companies based in Alberta.

William D. McCartney is a Chartered Accountant and was a founding partner of an accounting firm from 1984 to 1990. He is President of a management company involved with providing corporate finance and administrative management services to private and public companies.
